Weird ball found in tank

Found a hard ball like thing. Anyone know what it is.
Appears to have a face
I only have 2 newts in the tank with nothing else
Got them 4 days ago

Kinda looks like a seed with a small plant sprouting out if it? It's pretty small in the pic to really look at it

Looks like the head of an insect and piece of a thorax maybe? Possibly the rest was eaten by your newts? Maybe a wasp/hornet or some kind of orthopteran?

Yes, its the head of an insect, looks like a locust/cricket or something similar. You can make out the head and mandibles.

This is the head and the pronotum of a house cricket.
