Illness/Sickness: Weird skin, loss of appetite and colour.. help :(!

Thanks guys ! I've got the ammonia in the tank down to 0, and have the GH up to about 250 ppm (gotta get something other than these strip tests to do general checking/maintenance) by using crushed seashells in the filter ! I got him to eat yesterday, and will be making the steps to relocate him gradually !

Just an update here for those who were asking ! He's back in his tank and looking 100% better; I've got the GH up to 300 ppm with the seashells in the filter, and the ammonia hasn't come back at all (thank goodness). He's eating again, the kink in his tail has straightened out, and all would appear to be well again

thanks so much for the help! You all have been a total godsend!

the picture is blurry, but no more coating over his body or eyes, no 'skin' falling off, and his colour is back to normal :hat:
