I have had 2 little axies for over a month now and they are doing amazing. I feed them blackworms that I buy live at my nearest aquarium store. When I got the container out holding the worms I notices 3 tiny gray leaf shaped worms on the side of the container. They look like a fluke worm. Any ideas on what this worm is or if it is dangerous for my axies?

Not leeches? I see many posts about them amongst blackworms.

It sounds like leeches. They are not dangerous but your axolotls probably will not eat them.

Ok. I'm glad someone knew what they were. I have disposed of them and only put the blackworms in the tank with them. As long as they are not dangerous I will continue to just dispose of them when I see them. Thank you.

They are definitely leeches that come in blackworms. They are harmless and don't grow large like leeches you might accidentally bring into your tank from pond plants.
