I have the possibility of getting a Western Barred Tiger Salamander (Ambystoma mavortium?) being shipped overnight to me next week. I am waiting on the breeder to get back with me on what stage larvae it will be so I can have the correct food/tank habitat ready for it. I have included a picture of my current tank cycling right now. I will be testing the water in a few days. I have some frozen blood worms ready as backup as well. I was looking at ordering maybe some daphnia and/or vinegar eels just in case its a small larvae. Any advice for the larval stage would be welcome, I'm currently trying to comb through all the threads but there is a lot to read! TIA :p

I have some driftwood in there I plan to add a piece of slate to so that he can crawl out when he’s ready. I still don’t know how young he’s going to be when I get him. I’ve read it can take them months to morph.

Current tank parameters:

pH 7.0
kH 40
gH 30
NO2 0
NO3 20
Temp- 66.7 F

Added some slate to balance the kH, using reptisafe to make the water clean. Any input appreciated.

As long as they don’t seem stressed that’s good and I mean hey if their well fed maybe they’ll live long happy lives together.

Děkuji za přijetí. Hledám tohoto obojživelníka, Typhlonectes compressicauda, nevíte, kde ho získat, nejlépe někde v Evropě.

My axie is acting woerd he was a rescue as stated in a different post he got better and now seems to be deteriorating again...again all tank conditions are OK and as should be. He seems to have some black dapple like pattern under his bottom lip? Is that normal? And his two back feet have a little wierd growth? Almost? Tiny tiny tiny lump. His capillaries in his feathers also appear darker and more visible. Any help would be appreciated
