These used to be all over the place (as "rubber eels") when I was younger, even Wal-Mart! I'm always checking the Kingsnake Caecilian section, and don't think I have seen any aquatic Caecilians for years. Does anyone know if these ever come in anymore? Thanks! JVK
P.S. I'll check Aquabid for them after I post this.

Edit: Well, I did some searching and found this thread http://www.caudata.org/forum/f53-other-amphibians/f55-gymnophiona-caecilians/38284-t-natans.html so I guess that answers my question. Still would be interesting to see if anybody keeps and breeds these currently in the US though. Thanks! JVK

I get really sick of these regulations...the REAL issue is habitat destruction and pollution, but it's a lot easier to put the blame a small group of people than to actually make significant changes...I mean how many people do you know who own caecilians? Even if there weren't restrictions on importation, they aren't popular enough to really put a dent in the population.

Hopefully people can breed caecilians in captivity...they're really cool.
