What fish can go with axies?

hi
i know this is a very keen debating point, so il give you something to debate over.
i know that white cloud mountain minnows can be kept with axolotls BUT
what about the medium sized coldwater loaches, like stone loaches or the like??
i used to keep stone loaches on their own. they are peaceful, quiet, do a great job of clearing up, and they grow to 7 or 8 inches, without getting to be active or aggressive
OR
weather loaches.
these are a bit active, so i wasn't too sure about them, but they never grow massive, and they are not too small to be eaten, so that might work as well.
any other fishy suggestions??
what do other people keep with their axies?

i got a couple of minnows in with mine. they get on fine.

was funny watching a 15mm minnow devour 2 whole bloodworm today :eek:
 
Noo - no loaches.
A lot of loaches have built in weaponry, usually by the eyes.
Some species even come fully loaded with a mild toxin too.

They have a terrible habit of nibbling anything soft and edible enough - in the wild they eat snails and dead frogs etc, it'd be too easy for a loach to have a nibble.

The only one that would be any where NEAR safe is the weather or dojo loach - but it'd probably be eaten, and they're too beautiful to be food.
They're not smart enough to get out of the way fast enough - believe you me.
I keep a colony of dojos as pets, superb fish, and I can even handle my pack, but I wouldn't reccommend any loaches in Axie tanks.

Pakistani loaches are also known as YoYo loaches, Zebra loaches, or candystripes, depending on the variant.

Just thought that might be useful information, as I understand most petstores often use common names, or pseudonyms.
 
i no that really annoys me, coz they r all differant, sum species have lyk 20 differant common names. and anyway, im good at the scientific names
