I purchased a Chinese Firebelly yesterday from Petsmart. I picked the most healthy and active one I saw.
However, after a few hours in it's new home, I noticed something really strange.
What is that coming out my newt's backside?
At first I thought it was having babies, but I forgot about the fact that newts lay eggs.
But those look like little newt feet. Perhaps I've got a cannibal on my hands? Maybe it ate a baby at either the breeder or the pet store?
Either way, the object hasn't appeared to move since last night. Will this harm the newt, or should it eventually rid itself of the... umm, blockage?
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
