I put little feeder fish in my tank a week ago when my newt was not eating to try to entice him with some live fish (did not work) and I think they may have bred...?! there are a BUNCH of TINY Little things swimming around mostly clinging to the glass I think. Are these fish hatchlings or some kind of bacteria growth. They are definitely moving around. I know the pic is hard to see but HELPP!!

Can't see the pic that well, but I can say that if those fish were livebearers and bred the baby fish would be easily identifiable as fish and wouldn't cling to the glass. So if they don't look obviously like fish they probably aren't.

I don't know that much about other little creatures that could pop up in an aquarium, so that is the extent to which I can comment. I'm sure others will have some insight as to what they may be.

How tiny? if they are about the size of a grain of salt, I would guess copepods like cyclops.

Yes! They are just about the size of a grain of salt. And if I look really closely they do look like fish just extremely tiny.

also!

Just noticed what looks like maybe a threadworm in my tank.
Is this harmful to my newt/water quality?
