What kind of frog is that ?!

I got this frog for free from some guy in a pet store witch i used to work in. Frogs are new in Iceland and people dont know much about them.

I wanted to ask you if you knew what kind of frog this is ? I know it´s some kind of a (Rana species) am i right ? I have a southern leopard frog and this one is very simular.

It's hard to tell species from just this one photo, but it is definitely Rana sps.

Does the specimen have a white dot in the center of the tympanum? If so then it is probably either R. utricularia or R. blairi. If the spot isn't present it may still be those two species but may also be Rana pipiens.

Those species are known (respectively) by the common names southern leopard frog, great plains leopard frog and northern leopard frog. I'd be willing to be it's a southern leopard frog.

Well, i know it is not Rana pipiens. This frog is native to Europe (Denmark)

My friend thinks the frog might be :

Rana ridibunda
Rana esculenta
Rana lessonae
