about 1cm long and its very fast. much much faster than a mealworm and its got a very soft body. its in a little plastic measuring cup that you measure medicine in.

It looks like a mealworm. It might be a different species from the other mealworms you have, but it definitely looks like a mealworm (beetle larva) to me.

thanks mate
its just this one moves like a damn caterpillar rolls its body up as it moves like a caterpillar and its very fast.
i wouldnt mind getting a colony of these going cause they'd make great food for little juvies like 3 inches long like.
has the skin like a silk worm very soft

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
