I found these two larvae while looking for A. tigrinum larvae. I think they are A. laterale but think they could be notos. They are close to morphing, so time will tell me if someone knowledgable can't.

Is it possible to get a clearer side shot? They don't really look like Noto larvae to me, but I could be wrong.

Kind of looks like an Ambystomid larva. Maybe a side shot would help. The eyes seem kind of bulgy and the rim of the mouth seems wide. Almost certain its an Ambystoma of some sort.

Looks like A. laterale to me. I don't see the eye stripe a noto larva would have.

I would say A. laterale as well. It does appear more ambystmid than Noto.

Yea, it was more of wishful thinking that it was a n.v.l. larvae. I just lost one and wanted to replace it.

I'm sorry to hear that. But I wouldn't be dissappointed with the little guy you have there.
