Whats wrong!? what to do?!

ive had my axolotl for 3-4 months now and he was really active and happy fine and evrything then a little while ago he didnt eat the food i gave him but i thought maybe he wasnt hungry or something but the next couple of days he didnt eat either! hes gotten really skinny really quick and his coloure isgetting darker and a purpuly coloure around his face, his gills have now shrivled up and he doesnt really move any more(hes alive though) latly ive rialised that his skin or some sort of slime has been coming off his skin. i dont know whats rong can you please help me!!

have you checked all your water parameters? namely ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph also temp. also have you added any more animals/decorations from places with animals recently? a pic would definatly help. im unsure what this could be but have a read around here on how to put them in the fridge, might just slow him down long enough for us to help you both out
