Just curious, but when after the eggs are laid is the safest time to ship? Also how does one prevent hatching in transit?

The sooner they are shipped the better. The longer you wait, the more likely the embryo inside might slip out.

The cooler you keep them the longer it will take for them to hatch. I like to wait a couple days so the eggs look like they are developing properly and then ship in a styro box with ice packs.

Good to know. I have had eggs shipped a few times and they always hatch before they get here, I am guessing because theydont remain cool, not blaming anyone. :) I will keep trying!!
