Whisper20 Filter Okay??

I am setting up my new tank to prepare it for the little Axi's I want to get. Will a Whisper20 filter be okay for the tank, or will it provide too much of a current? The last thing I would want is to give them an unstable habitat. I can send pictures if you need them for clarification, I just can't figure out how to post my pictures here on the forum.

Also, if it's too much of a current, would it be possible to solve the problem by difusing the water with a few rocks?

Help Please! and Thank you very much!

Hi Kat
Most filters cause some sort of current,i am not familiar with a whisper filter only whisper air pumps. You could defuse, as you say by using rocks or something or try to direct the current across the top of the water.

Can you post a link to a photo of the filter? Just copy/paste the URL into the message.

I try to and I just receive this message...

Any help, please?

Kat, did you get my e-mail regarding your username? I sent it via your forum profile (is the email address in your profile valid)? Please write to me: jpmacke "at" caudata.org

if its the whisper 20 that you have at the top of the tank then it say that you can vary the flow.
the only other thing would be to experiment and try it against different surfaces to see how that affects the flow.

i have the same filter on my axi's tank and it works fine, not too much current at all. just make sure to adjust the flow valve until the water is just barely going through.
