White axie with blue eyes

I have just bought a pure white axolotl with bright blue eyes. I have never seen one like this and wonder if anyone can tell me if they have seen this before. I will post photos tomorrow.

Probably leucistic. Leucistics sometimes look like they have blue eyes. It's seeing the eye through the skin.

Thanks for your reply. I pick the axie up tomorrow. I will post photos then. Its eyes did look bright blue. I will have a closer look tomorrow.

Thats a great looking axie Jason. I picked up my new axolotl today and setup its tank. I noticed that the axie has 5 toes on its front feet. On all of my other axies they only have 4 toes on there front feet. I also noticed that this axie has about 8 toes on one of its back legs. Is my new axie a mutant?

Thanks, she is the one that started my obsession.

Extra toes aren't a big deal, nips from tank mates can trigger a regeneration of a toe that may just happen to be an extra.

I have a golden that has a toe coming out of her knee. Doesn't bother her in the slightest.

Mine was named after his gills(bluegills) He was supposed to be the daddy this year but the Melanoid one stole his woman. It was kinda a competition. Both males were laying spermatophores. Hee hee. I can't wait till next breeding season. I have heard great things from the gold+leucistic combo. I know 2 different people that got like 6 different colors from that color. Wild, white albino, leucistic, melanoid, gold, wild from one breeding season. And the male was gfp so half the babies were too. Sorry about the off topic.
