White fluid coming from Axolotl mouth?

Hey guys! Quick question for you I've just fed my axie 2 earthworms and straight away these strands of white fluid came from his mouth( he didn't have it open just crept out) I've never noticed this before. Then suddenly he started gagging? A few times then hid away... He seems alright but was kinda freaked when I saw the white fluid? Anyone know anything that could help? Thanks
