Hello, i woke up this morning and checked up on my axi and she had these white spots on her gills and one that is on her side. the one on her side looks like some sand stuck to her but when i tried to rub it off it will not come off. Is she sick? She ate a few hours ago just fine but since then has not moved much. Usually she likes to swim around her tank and investigate her aquarium but has done none of that today. she was fine yesterday. what could this be?

Hm it does actually just look like sand, doesn't it? Maybe there is damage on the slime coat and the sand has stuck to the skin? I have had this happen before and it looks similar to this. If you have a turkey baster (or something similar) slowly stream water onto the area and see if it lifts off.
If it is sand stuck to the slime coat you may want to try tea baths or almond tea leaves to heal the skin. The usual fungus is fluffy like cotton and salt baths help this, though tea baths can also help.
