I did search the forum, Couldn't find anything, so sorry if i missed something and this is a repost.

so my whites viv is on the low side! very low side! reading at 20C in the day.
It has a heat mat, and i've been considering getting another to stick to side side, i'm very worried about them.

One hasn't eaten for along time, and is getting very thin, as well as very brown, I was just thinking if getting another heat mat for them (to stick to the side) is a good idea. there is no chance I can put anything that needs wires inside the viv at all.

could use some help, as i'm close to panicking. :(

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
