Work came out of my Axolotl neck

Hi all my Axolotl Just had a full earthworm as she eats them not cut up fine but today it scared me the worm seemed to come out of her neck I panicked but it then went back in is this normal I just saw a post on this it really scared me thank you guys

That's not uncommon.
All axolotls actually have a "gill slit", an opening in the jaw right behind the gills. It's hard to see because it's behind the gills, but it's basically a side-opening into the mouth.

If a worm is lucky it can crawl out of the mouth through the slit (or the axolotl will suck it back in). I've never heard of a worm getting stuck permanently.
I guess if it takes too long you could gently pull it out, but all the cases I've heard of solved themselves rather quickly.
