Worms in my sand....

So, i was wondering if this falls under "normal critters." I have small, really pale worms, living in my sand. They don't seem to bother my guy, and just seem to waft back and forth. Are these normal happy guys, or should i clean my tank out and/or sterilize my sand?

Thanks!

Can you get a picture?

It is probably either flat worms, midge fly larvae, or possibly something else that is completely normal. I was really worried the first time I found critters in my tank, I actually panicked!

But later I found out that everything in my tank is harmless. The things you want to look out for are hookworms, anchorworms, and leaches. Possibly some others too, but I am not sure of their names. These are just the ones I know

I'm with Rheann here. Probably normal, but if you're worried, do a good siphon of the sand and a decent sized water change.
