Just thought I would share some great photos I managed to capture of my babies yawning! If anyone else has managed to capture photos of their axies doing the same I would love for them to be shared. :D

I remember making quite a lot of pictures of my yawning lotls a few years ago. Even videos. The only one I can find right now is this one...

Amazing shots! Mine only seem to yawn when the lights are off (which is like 99% of the time), so I've never caught it!

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
