Summer season here again and daily water temperatures that passes 24 celsius in my tank.

Have been using iced water bottles but have to change them many times a day.

Cant put too much in the water either. Have been taking down the temperature to 20 celcius in matter of
4-6 hours daily.

Found a product on amazon, "Techni ice". Do any of you see any problem with using these instead?

I did some quick reading on these, and as I understand it, they use a powder that absorbs water, and from reviews, it seems it also expels some water. I don't think I would personally risk it with axolotls since their skin absorbs things that are in the water, but I also can't say for certain that you shouldn't use it. Like I said, I wouldn't, but that's me. I personally use a combination of fans, ice bottles, an ice probe chiller (slightly less expensive--about 130 USD--but also more inefficient than a regular chiller), and air conditioning to keep my tank temp down.

No what you described (witch I missed) sounds too risky then. Already has a male who has changed his skin into lighter at several parts. Eats and behaves as normal, and the 2 other males = no change. So wouldnt dare to put anything more "into the mix".
