Hey all!
I'm having some trouble identifying the morph of one of my babies. I was reading through some great info from Strohl's Herptiles but am still uncertain whether this baby in particular is an axanthic copper or a MAC. I'm leaning more toward it being an axanthic copper, but if anyone with a bit more knowledge could weigh in on it I'd be very grateful.

Attached are pics of the baby (apologies that they aren't the best of quality). Baby is 2 months old and from Northern Axolotls' lines.

I've determined that this little patoot is indeed an axanthic copper. 😊

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
