Hi everyone,

I have one male and two female axolotls that are over a year old. The male is making spermatophores each night (about 3-5). I have not seen the mating ritual, excessive movement, or eggs for the past week. Are my females not mature yet? Should I separate them?

Thanks!

Do you respond to every advance made to you?!
Maybe they are just not in the mood, maybe they don't fancy him, maybe they have no eggs, maybe they have headaches, maybe the just don't want to.
Just leave them to it, it will happen or it won't, there is nothing you can do except give them the opportunity.
