Help, either a tank mate tried to bite her entire arm off or the cat got her. She was swollen, puffy, red and floating when I noticed something was wrong. I noticed the big wound under her arm. I have placed her in the fridge she has been there for a few days now. The swelling is almost all gone. Her skin is looking better she isn’t floating like she was. However every time I change the water she starts bleeding. If she moves her arm she starts bleeding. Today there was a lot of blood. I can place my finger on it to stop the bleeding and it will stop until she moves again. I’ve been putting melafix in her water. I have ordered furnan 2 hopefully it will be here today. How can I stop the bleeding or put a tourniquet on somehow?

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
