Hi, we have a three toed amphiuma and he appears somewhat blotchy and has been getting worse looking. Yesterday he wouldn't come out of his 'cave' to eat. He usually swims around and take his food fine. We feed him crawfish only and his water parameters are good. The pH is a little high which concerns me but I've researched that they aren't bothered too much by water quality. We are in TX. TIA for any help!!

I have a two-toed amphiuma who is *also* looking blotchy and has been lethargic.

I've had him for quite some time, now, and he generally eats well (mostly nightcrawlers and crayfish) and rotates between actively foraging and hiding within his pipe/tube.

Did you ever find out what was wrong with him? Or did he recover?

If anyone has an answer to this, I'd be really interested to hear it.

Hello, I also have a two toed amphiuma, and she appears to also have patchy, blotchy skin. I'm wondering if yours recovered, and if so, if there's anything I can do to help her recovery. If you'd like, I can send you pictures aswell. Thanks
