Bye :)

they are very cute, they look great :)

are they apuanus for sure? I thought those would all stay aquatic after morphing?

Great pictures. How many megapixel camera did you use.

I use a Canon 350D, I think it is 8 megapixel ;)

Mine are predominantly aquatic. They haul out onto the island for a while everyday, but the older they get, the less time they spend on land

Mine are the same, though I have noticed it as more my female that hauls out,my male never seems to leave the water!

My last child, I have kept in water but this time I decided to raise them as in the wild with a terrestrial period the first year.

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
