I have had my axolotl for about a year now and she is still only 3-4 inches long. I have been feeding her bloodworms but is there something else I could be feeding her?
I highly recommend cut up night crawlers, but they tend to release a foul liquid since they are cut. If your axie seems to not to take to them right away, you could start off with whole red wigglers then move onto night crawlers!
I fed my axie a red wiggler today and she ate it but then an hour later I went back and looked and she had spit it out. im trying to figure out if she just didn't like it or if it was too big for her
Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation
Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
