Terrified of worms!

Anyone else's axie completely terrified of worms?? I tried Falkor on them today for the first time. He's about 5 and a half inches now. Dropped it in at his feet... as soon as he realised it was moving he took off like a shot! Twice! Almost ended up flipping out of the tank, the daft thing. Swirled it in some hot water to kill it, then dropped it back in... gobbled it up instantly! Although I think I'll have to cut them in two next time. Seemed to take him a while to swallow it and he flipped out again near the end. Not looking forward to that!

Have you tried cutting it up? I've seen some other threads about the worms being too big, or even the taste being odd! I found this thread that sounded very similar to your problem Hopefully this helps, let me know how it goes!

He's totally fine with them now Think he just got a bit freaked out by the movement at first. Now he'll catch them before they even hit the sand! I'll cut them up if I think they might be a bit too long, but he doesn't seem to have much of a problem swallowing them Still not loving that I have to do this, but I'm happy that he's taking to them so well and has the best chance to be nice and healthy.
