Yes, you read it right......

My female ADF(s) has laid scads of eggs.

What makes this fiasco so funny is that I have 5 frogs.

The odd man out is a very young male......He is now singing his little heart out. :singing:

The females have already paired up with the older males

I noticed about a month ago that one of the females decided to give the very young male a chance to get his feet wet..........

I guess she was not satisfied or shall I say content with his attempts at amplexing :D

attached are pics of the eggs that I have removed.

I will describe in more detail my tank setup which is a different....the walstad method.

I am not sure whether I will grow these eggs out or just try to sell the eggs.

There are sooo many of them.

Are the future tadpoles considered captive bred or would they still be considered wild caught?

Let me know what you guys think about what I should do?

p.s. I think there is something in the water. All I need now is to have my seahorses and spotted puffers breed and I will have a full house.

funny, this sounds a lot like the mating games of muskoxen, who I study and who loiter around my neighborhood. Just substitute "singing" with "roaring" and "amplexus" with "mounting". Same old soap opera apparently, independent of species. The older females just aren't likely to put up with the clumsy courtship of some young yahoo (see pic attached).

please, post some pics of your Walstad tank! Would love to see. Hope those eggs are fertile! How does one raise such tiny tiny tadpoles?

I'm sure as long they go back to a fertilization in captivity, they are considered CB

The embryo's are starting to take shape.

They are so small you can barely see the formation.

I was able to get a picture of one of the embryo's.

You can definitely see that tail formation.

I attached 2 pics

Oops.....almost forgot to post pics of the Walstad tank.

It was expensive but I love it!!!!

Little to no maintenance at all.

My plants are growing like wild weeds.

There are tiny microorganisms in this tank.

The glass on this tank has algae.

I am not cleaning it off right now.

It serves as food for the infusoria and other forms of life.

Did I say that this tank has been set up since February 22nd of this year????

It is definitely the way to go if you want a low maintenance, no filtration and natural tank.

I love it along with my other projects.

I went ahead and attached pictures of my Fluval Edge saltwater tank.

This will be the future home of dwarf seahorses.

It will set for at least 8-10 months so that all forms of life will have a chance to grow.
