The last couple of days our T.cf.kweichowensis females took residence on the flagstones at the edge of the water. Before this they swam a lot together with the male, but he's relaxing under a piece of cork bark at the moment. The water's fine, so I don't know what they're planning. Can't say I trust them at the moment. There's something going on...

Hmmmm well in all honesty I personally don't think she is :/ but i may be wrong on that... But if she could lay them easily enough, if they will be fertile I couldnt say. Have you seen the Male court her and lay his Spermatophores anywhere?

This is what the process should be like for breeding:
"The male moves in a circle waving his tail and deposits a number of small, cone-shaped spermatophores on a flat rock in the water or on land. The receptive female will follow and pick them up with her cloaca for internal fertilization. This may occur more than once."

I have not seen the male do that.

It's not to late though. Here we've still got low temperatures, so I'm hoping that my male will recover before it gets warmer. I've got a good feeling about the male, because he's allready fattened up for the biggest part. Hope he gets in the mood as well. He spends all his time laying around the females though!

Did you give them a cold period? Mine got temperatures around 10C, because their in a room with an open window during winter. Your female could be gravid with eggs, but she could be fatter. Don't give up hope just yet.
