Question: Too much food?

So...when i bought my lottles last week, the owner said he constantly fed them..
I bought blackworms and fed them a couple of times a day..well..needless to say..one of tge babies is pretty bloated and now not eating. They are both about 2 inches long..not sure how old really. What should i do? The gfp boy looks ok and is much more active..but the other isn't moving much and the top of her tail is curling in.

The water temp is 64f. The substrate is sand. There is a filter on low. I have been using blackworms. I did try newt pellets with no real success. I am really worried about the one. She doesn't look good and i am not sure what to do. I have added a pic of her.

What doesn't look good about her? Looks fine to me in the pic.

I wouldn't keep them on substrate though. Even small sand particles are pretty big to tiny axolotls, especially when they're hoovering up blackworms.

Everything looks okay with your axie if I feed mine twice a day sometimes they start refusing to eat until they are hungry again Mine grew about an inch in two weeks from me keeping them super full! and since the babies hatched I am trying to be super axie mommy in all my spare time so I brought them down to once a day now(3.5") but the same amount of food as before just so I could have a more organized schedule(Baby feedings in the morning before school with water change, juvies and babies get fed and water changed at night) >.<

I was nervous when I first got my axies and they were filling right up with worms and I would panic because it looked like they were going to blow! But your axie wont be able to fit anymore in their tummies if they are full, Echo(My leucistic) will sit there and try to eat one bloodworm for like 5minutes(Spit out, try again, spit out) but it wont fit :grin:

Her gills just look turned up more and there are a few slight folds
at the top of her tail. I am happy to know that i cannot over feed them!

Apparently you can with adults! But they will just vomit. Juveniles should be fed as much as you can because they are at such a critical part of their development.
