Hi all! In my communications class we will be giving an informative speech in a couple of weeks and I thought I'd inform my class on the greatest animal in the world! So far I plan on talking about their behavior, neoteny, regenerative abilities, and the color variations. Does anyone have any other ideas that I can throw in there? Maybe some interesting facts I forgot about? Thanks in advance! :)

Thanks! I don't know why there is a frowny face next to my title and I can't figure out how to get rid of it :/

That the Aztecs (I think?) used to pay each other in them, and eat them, and they're bred for food elsewhere in the world? It's not the nicest of facts if you're a pet-lover, but from a cultural and historical perspective, it's interesting.

Also, see if you can find "The Book of Barely Imagined Beings" on Amazon. There's a preview of the first chapter, which is on Axolotls.

mention lake xochimilco and chalco and their numbers in the wild.

Your wish is our command! All done.

You can contact a Moderator if you need anything edited.

Good luck with your speech! There's some great suggestions there. How long will your speech go for?

You guys are the best! It is a 5-7 minute speech so I'll have to resist the urge to ramble :D

Best of luck with it, Sanshouo! I don't think I could resist the urge to ramble. (But then, in presentations, I tend to talk at a million miles a minute and look like a started deer.)
