Question: How long?

Thanks! I have searched alot on this, but cant fins a straight answer...

My eggs took 2 - 3 weeks to hatch
sexual maturity i think is aprox 18 months? i could be wrong..however i had mine together since they were bought and i have had them now 2.5 years they only bred for the first time last month:rolleyes:

MY eggs took between 18 and 21 days for them all to hatch, i think the general rule is if they havent all hatched by 28 days, they probs wont.
They usually start getting their leg buds within a couple of weeks and you can see them with a magnifying glass, after that they just keep growing they generally have some form of front leg by 4 weeks :D
Sexual maturity depends on each lotl but it can take anywhere between 1 year and 2.
The usual sign of sexual maturity is; if its a dark lotl, the toes get lighter.
If its a light lotl the toes get darker.
 
I have read that male axolotls can reach sexual maturity from 6 months, females from 8-9 months.

I used those two links (above) as guidance when rearing my larvae and found the info very reliable.

Haha my lotls must just be slow, my oldest is 7 months my younger ones 4 and none of them can be sexed yet, they all look the same, guess ill have to keep waiting :D
