One of my axie's has a very bad fungal infection and has lost his tail and is on the way to death.
what should i do?

We will need more information to be able to assist you. What are your water parameters - ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, PH and Temperature? What treatments have you tried? How long has he had this problem? Could you post photos?

However axolotls are very good healers given they have the right water condition i.e. 0 ammonia, 0 nitrites and a reading of but less that 40ppm nitrates. Temp ideally should be 16-18 degrees celcius. Anything out of these ranges can cause stress, chemical burns and a lower immune system. With a lower immune system their protective slime coat can start to fall apart and lead to fungal infections.

IF it is a fungal infection it should look like fluffy and cottony. To treat this you need to be providing salt baths. Look through this thread for help http://www.caudata.org/forum/f46-be...axolotl/72698-salt-bath-picture-tutorial.html

If it just looks a little flakey and cloudy it could be a slime coat issue which you can use Indian Almond leaves and pop them in the tank. The water will turn yellow but thats fine, it is actually what helps their coat.

He just passed away was old but it still sucks.

thats 2 now gone in a week.

my younger 3 are fine tho
