Time release food

I bought this time release tablet food for my shrimp as I don't think axolotl waste is enough food for them, especially since I suck it out as the poop appears. I want to know if it is safe to be in the tank with the axies.

It's too big for my axolotl and the question I'm asking is if it would be bad for my axie to eat if it shrinks to a size that can be swallowed. It is as big as a thimble and bigger than my axie's hed.

I have plants but not sure about shrimp diet and what plants they'd eat.

It would depend on the type of shrimp you have. Most cherry shrimp, grass shrimp, and similar shrimps will nibble on most aquarium plants and be fine. When I kept cherry shrimp I fed them fish food sporadically. Their main diet was java moss and java fern that was always in the tank. I kept some shrimp by themselves and some in a set up with juvenile ribbed newts. One day the ribbed newts figured out how to hunt the shrimp down and ate all the shrimp in the tank within a week.

In an established tank with live plants their well be plenty of food for most shrimp.
