Hello fellow enthusiasts,
Today I noticed some odd white dots on my driftwood in my 40 g. I have 2 Java ferns and 1 big male leucustic axie. I also noticed some sort of injury or what appears to be different textured membrane with capillaries throughout. Please see the first photo regarding the driftwood and the second regarding my axie.

I would venture to say that the white spots on your driftwood look like a type of fungus. And the mark on your axolotl looks like a scuff or scratch. It should heal fine. Keep up on water changes.
