Hi guys, just wanted an opinion!
I know there's no way to tell, but the person I'm buying my Axie from (hopefully in the next week or so!) said he has either white /pink leucistic types, or the mottled type to choose from! When I asked what the mottled would look like, he sent me the attached picture. It's so cute!
I'm just curious as to what it might look like when it gets a little older!
Anyone have any experience with mottled axies?
:)

There is no existing Axolotl type named 'Mottled', but I expect he is refering to it as mottled due to the spots/patches of colour. The Axolotl is most likely a Wild Type from what I can see, but the image is quite blurry and not very close.

I knew there was no such type but I didn't quite know what he meant by mottled haha! It looks like a wild type to me too..

It's a wild type no question, currently raising a baby myself

I was wondering if it might be a melanoid, but again, the picture is a bit blurry. Is there a shiny ring around it's eyes? Cute, regardless.

Yes, that's what I wondered myself.

Oooh didn't even think of that! Definitely a possibility. We need a picture of that eye!

Now I'm even more excited, haha! <3 I'm picking the little guy/girl up one day this week hopefully, if my tank is cycled properly! :) I'll get lots of pictures then!

It's a lighter colored melanoid. It should darken up as it gets older.
