So...my axolotl got fungus on the gills and I noticed it early on. Since I had no experience with axolotls, I researched how can I cure her. I found out that salt baths are very bad and I should do it only in extreme cases. It said that I should just tub my axolotl and change water daily and that I could put her in a tea bath sometimes. So I put her in the tub and first couple of days I did tea baths and then just continued daily water change. As time went by it seemed like she had more fungus (instead of less), but after two weeks she got her appetite back while having less white spots and it looked like she is getting better. But it's three weeks now and she's got more fungus again and doesn't want to eat again, so I did salt bath for ten minutes. When I got her out, her back legs were floating for a while, she had something red on her tail, something that she didn't have before and she didn't want to eat (she did yesterday).
What should I do next? Should I continue salt baths until fungus disappeares or should I try something else? Please help 😕
P.S. She has some kind of extra skin around her toes now, which I also have no clue what is it.

I see a bruise on her tail fin and the teeniest bit of fungus.

I wouldn't do salt baths

I add a low dose of Salt to all my tanks and tubs to stay in at all times. You can also make johns or holtfreters if you're a keener.

The safe dose range is 1 tablespoon per 5-10g - Start at the 1 per 10 g and only slide up if you need to. This helps hardness, their ability to heal, their slime coat, electrolyte absorption and prevention or anemia and fungus
