The parasite of Deroceras reticulatum is being investigated for transmission to salamander.
But I'm not sure how to find it.

I'm looking for someone you know well.

Try to read :

and

Uh... it's really hard to understand.. Can you hear your personal opinion?

Well I have no data on Deroceras reticulatum except the damages it causes in agriculture, but Deroceras laeve is a parent species which can be found in the same environments.

Cosmocercoides dukae is a nematod which is parasitic in the slug D. laeve when young, and in the salamander Ambystoma laterale as an adult.

A similar, but different, species can be found in some toads.

What do you think is the best food for salamander and newt?

For me, no universal best food.
There are more than 600 Caudates species and each of them has different life conditions.
The best we can do is looking for as much information as possible before getting the caudate.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
