Bubble disc for axolotls

I recently got a bubble disc for axolotl tank. It was the “small” but my goodness does it produce hella bubbles & evaporate water quickly. My setup creates no bubbles or oxygen which is why I am doing this because I think it may be part of why one of my axolotl (Leo, he’s being fridged) is sick. Is this the only option? Will an air stone be less obnoxious or will it be the same bc of the pump it’s attached to? Thanks all.

you could try tubing along the back wall? it would be like a bubble wall lol - don’t know if you find that appealing or not
