So, quick question... is it okay for my axolotl to be.....well.... fat? My melanoid axolotl (chip) is perfect size but my white axie (fish) likes to steal chip's food and making herself increasingly fat and overweight, is this okay for her and are there any tips on getting her to stop taking his food.

As with any living creature, being overweight can potentially lead to health problems. You could try separating them during feeding time in some way.

i'll try that, I ordered a tank separator for a 75 gallon tank that I have been using to separate my puffers an my crabs during feeding so I might try and order one for my 45 gallon axie tank
