Hello,

I have noticed a white growth on my axolotl's foot that has slowly gotten bigger. It is not fluffy but I am still unsure whether it is fungus or not. His behaviour is fine and he is eating and pooping on a normal basis. He still uses the foot to move around as well.

When I got him the other axotols that he was housed with bit off all of his legs, however it has been a few months and he has grown them back. Is this a regeneration issue? Should I put him in a tea/salt bath?

Any advice appreciated :)

I am sorry that I am not going to give you the kind of answer that you wanted but you schould never take veterinary advice from people that aren't vetinarians. Instead you schould go to a exotic vetinarian.

I don't live in an area where exotic vets are easy to come by.

No it is not rude. But the reason that I responded is because I almost treat one of my pets with the wrong treatment because of a similar situation. But I understand that you where wondering about my response.

I hope that you eventaully find someone that does know about it and it turns out that it is nothing to worry about.
