So if you purchase eggs from someone and you get the axolotl they want after paying for the eggs and shipping do you have to give them back an axolotl they want if you get a rare species from their eggs? I'm literally lost how some ask for certain axolotls that you paid for back.

If you purchase the eggs, they are yours. Period. That is the luck of the draw. If they wanted the pick of the litter, then like dogs, they either stud out, or hatch the eggs and keep what they want.

The reason that they ask for them back is pure greed. They don't want to/can't go through hatching them, but they also want their cake of having a rare one to either sell for more money or keep for themselves.

They SHOULD negotiate BUYING back a rare. Or offering a discount on the eggs in exchange for if one pops up, they have dibs. Then they pay shipping, just as you did.

Thank you and I agree instead of paying for the axolotl they just want me to send it back but not pay for the axolotl just shipping. 🤷🏽‍♀️ the seller at this point is being selfish with all these stipulations after I paid for the eggs and am in the process of hatching and raising them. The seller said if you get a mosaic you must send back! 🤣🤣🤣🙄😏yeah, right 🙄 not obligated to do so.

Nope. Especially as it wasn't stated in the terms of sale/only after the sale was concluded. That person can have fun blowing smoke all they want.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
