My axolotl fell to the floor and made a sound of shock when it hit the floor. I quickly put her back in the tank while freaking out at the same time.
When my axolotl got in the water she wasn't moving for a while and then started to move and eat. She is an albino axolotl and I noticed on her head it looked like a bruise. The problem is I don't know if it's internal bleeding or a bruise. Please if you know what it is or what happened and what I should do please let me know.

oh goodness, how did she fall? did she jump?
im not sure what to do either tbh, i’d just leave her alone and monitor her behavior

She will likely be okay, axolotls have amazing healing abilities, but you could take her to a vet to be safe. I agree with axolotl nerd above, get an aquarium lid right now! You could use a glass or screen lid (the second will help with evaporative cooling).

Well, it wasn't her jumping by itself out of the tank. I grabbed her and she jumped out of my hand*. It was a dumb mistake on my part
why were you moving her? i know that sounds accusative but i promise it’s not. my mudkip actually insists on sitting in my hand (underwater)

well, this might sound pretty silly, but I moved because She was in an area of the tank that I couldn't feed her, instead of moving her inside the water I took her out which I regret 100%

its alright, everyone does things they regret. you probably thought it would be easiest at the time, that’s not your fault

i appreciate it, ive been watching my axolotl for a bit, she seems to be doing alright. The bruise that's on her head is concerning but besides that shes eating and doing ok and is alive so that's good. Just praying for the healing

i think she’ll be fine
