Help!

My axolotl hasn't pooped for about 4.5 weeks.
I have had her in the fridge at around 6-8C for a week now with no waste being passed.
There is no substrate/gravel/or other small objects in her tank that she could have swallowed.
I attributed the first few weeks to new tank stress, but the tank levels (O2, nitrates, pH, etc) are fine. She was had the exact same type of filter and tank size for over 2 years while being cared for by someone else.
This morning she was clearly bloated and floating in her fridge container.

I don't have a vet nearby that takes on amphibians, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Other info:
  • I have been doing 100% water changes (aged water) each day of fridging
  • Her diet consists of small sinking pellets and small earthworms as a treat
  • age = 3-4 years old
  • sex= F
  • likely not of the healthiest genetic stock
  • stopped feeding her since I began fridging a week ago
  • still moves around when I do water changes
  • no visible red leg/fungus/injury
  • no record of previous constipation/health issues
Thanks!

have you had any luck yet? hope she is fine!

We are having this same problem with our axolotl, and are very worried. Ours is about 3 years old, and we have had her for almost 2 with no problems. We are doing the exact same things - fridging (temp around 42-44F), not feeding her (we were feeding worms 2-3 times a week with occasional pellets), 100% water changes everyday while in the fridge, etc. This morning when I changed the water, there was "stuff" floating around, but it wasn't brown colored like a poop would be. She is hungry (tries to eat my fingers when I pull out the thermometer from her tank to check the temp). Any suggestions are welcome!

if your axolotl is getting constipated switch to a full carnivore diet, which would be live food or frozen, although pellets are ok they aren't a natural food source.
just like most animals sometimes things just don't agree with every axolotl and can cause them to get blocked up.
what was she originally fridged for?
