Gendering my axolotl

My axie is 6 1/2 inches and, upon asking the breeder, he/she is about 6 months old. The toes look like they’ve gotten toetips. So is it sexually mature enough to tell the sex? It doesn’t have a particularly large bulge but there is a small one, even after defecation.

usually juveniles grow about an inch a month, so 6-7 months would make sense. usually males start showing between 6-8 months, but you can't be sure until about a year and a half. i would say it's either too young/unsexed or female

Thank you! I guess I'll wait a few more months to be sure. We were kind of hoping it was a boy!
