my axolotl has stunted growth due to him losing his limb in a fight with another axoltl, he’s fine now and loving his tank but he doesn’t swim a lot? he just stays at the bottom so i was wondering wether it was ok.
he’s by himself in a tank, he got it bit in the pet shop i work at so i took him home when he healed :)

axolotls are very poor swimmers and tend to prefer crawling and climbing rather than swimming once they are adults.

mine is the same, she's very lazy and prefers to glide across the bottom. nothing to worried about here :)
