A few days ago I came back from Hawaii for a friend visit, I came back to see my old tank a massive mess with the 5 axolotls unhappy- Border broken, Weird slime growling on the structures, Bad Algae, etc! Plates werent clean- Nothing! My mom has been petsitting them and she completely changed their diet that usually consists of Brine Shrimp and Night-crawlers to Blood Shrimp! She didn't do any of their diets that I specifically told her too and I even asked her to clean the tank since I'll be gone a whole week and they were due for one(every sunday) while I'll be gone. I immediately transferred them into a new tank(75) cause I was planning to transfer them into an bigger one cause 5 axolotls couldn't fit into a 40. Had to scrap the structures and sand- Even the filter is broken(both new and old so I'm buying a new one) When I transferred them My Golden boy, Butters, has refused to eat any of his food and will not go near his food. I'm worried sick something might've happened to Butters- They don't have any structures yet, I'm planning to get some soon with new plants. They have an API water test kit and they have a whole new border with one active filter on the girl's side.

I haven't seen any signs of stress so far, no tail curling- No gill curling
Nothing so I don't know whats wrong but I'm worried

how is the filter/s broken?
what were the water parameters on the old tank and on the new tank?
what type of filter is used on new tank?
how long has the new tank been set up? how was it prepared?
why were the structures scrapped?
the lack of appetite could be due to being in a new environment and may need time to adjust.
the slime build up would have been bio-film and quite harmless.
the algae build up was due to an accumulation of nutrients and although unsightly quite healthy and harmless.
ensure that the water is circulated throughout the tank rather than just one side.

The Last Tank was at the cold requirement temperatures for Axolotls, I haven't put in the temperature for the new yet due to that now being lost- Idk where my mom put it.(So I got a new one, Just waiting for that to arrive) The new filter is the Fluval filters for 70 and the last one was for 40. The Structures were scrapped due to odd slime build up and black/orange algae. I Would constantly clean them but something with Black Algae was nearly impossible to clean then how I usually clean them. Now for the filter part, I have no clue- Thats something I wasn't exactly there for but for the new one I was there for. The new one came with parts that didn't fit in the filter and were for the smaller filters so when I was busy filtering the tank and taking the axolotls out(with gloves) into containers, My mom had broken the new filter due to wrong parts and missing pieces. Its depending on the Algae mainly, cause it can be somewhat harmful towards certain creatures especially it'll rise with bacteria(which the Axos share a tank with two nitrate snails). Their readings were at the Required PH Level(last tank was higher than the last time due to low oxygen- Which I told my mom to do a water change while I was gone cause they'll be due for one), 0% Of Ammonia in Both tanks(Last check in the older tank was when I left for Hawaii), 0% Nitrates In Both Tanis(Last Check in Older tank was when I left for Hawaii). When I got back there was a shit ton of bacteria and like debre everywhere- I had to scrap their last sand too due to it being very bad as well. Their water levels were to low when I got back(might've been the reason why the 40 Filter stopped working).

what I mean't was were the tanks cycled, for the water to be low there would either be a leak or massive evaporation.
black/orange algae can be removed with hydrogen peroxide.
be careful with nerite snails as due to the shape can be harmful if ingested, make sure that an air-stone/s is in the tank to avoid low oxygen.
unless the algae is blue it tends to be quite harmless, although water borne algae can cause oxygen depletion.
although the water levels may have been good prior to the holiday it is after which is of interest in particle ammonia and nitrites.
although you have stated the levels are good you have disclosed no other information apart from ammonia and nitrates being zero prior to holiday, nitrates being zero is a concern, do you mean nitrites.
although co2 affects ph oxygen doesn't.

Yeah, They've been cycled! I mean Nitrites not the other thing lmao and the snails so far don't have very sharp shells gladly but they are Nerite snails- I have been planning to get airstones, I'll get them then 👍
