was the tank cycled and how was it cycled?
what are the tanks full water parameters ie.. temperature, ph, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, kh and gh if possible.
what chemicals, salts, minerals are used in tank?
what food is he/she eating?
what else is in tank ie.. plants etc..
Sorry for the late reply but I just checked the parameters at I have 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and around 10-20 nitrate, 7.4 ph
Not sure about the temperature I have to purchase a new thermometer but to touch it could be a little warm ? Maybe around 68-70?
The tank has been cycling for about 3 months prior to putting them in
For cycling
I added dr tims ammonia and whenever I saw the ammonia go down I fed it more ammonia until it converted to nitrite, then fed it more ammonia when the nitrite went down until it converted to nitrate, then dosed it 2 ppm for the next 2 days and saw that it continued to convert to nitrate then did a 80% water change then put them in.
They were doing fine for about a week, swam normally and ate but after that they’ve just been acting not normal or sick and I’m not sure why?
I don’t use any chemicals in the tank besides prime to get rid of chlorine
They eat red wrigglers
I only have fake plants, sand, and a fake wooden cave
I keep the light off throughout the day, but they still just sit inside the wooden cave and hasn’t swam out of it in about 3 days
Their gills are constantly at a bright reddish pink as well
And the little thing hanging from their bladder is still there although it’s less than before. I’m thinking of putting them in a small container and try to pull it out with a tweezer
